Glen Aire Farm is a family run horse farm in the heart of York County with Maryland roots. We specialize in performance and educational horsemanship. The focus is on the rider, the horse, and their relationship; we are not just training the rider, we are training the horse while building a relationship.
At Glen Aire Farm we are not your standard lesson mill type farm, we focus on the individual goals on the rider and making sure each rider is safe and confident around horses. It’s not a “get on and get off for the next lesson” type of barn, we will teach you how to handle your horse both in and out of the saddle.
Our instructors have over 30 years of horse experience as U.S.E.F. registered professionals – over 20 years experience as a professional groom for six time Maryland Hunt Cup winner and Hall of Fame inductee, D. M. “Mikey” Smithwick, equine manager at Maryland’s premier training facility, Andor Farm, and over six years experience as a riding instructor.
Our Maryland roots run deep and strong, we have been trained and mentored by the best horse people to guide the future of the sport here in York County.
